As you look at our Baltimore yoga class schedule, you’ll notice that classes are available for a variety of practice and skill levels. Ojas suggests taking classes that complement your level of yoga experience.
Combine stretching, breathing, restorative postures, and relaxation to improve range of motion, reduce stress, and increase vitality. This level is ideal for mature students, or students with pain, weakness, stiffness, or fatigue.
Ojas Beginner Yogi: Level 1
Ojas Level 1 is designed for new students or the continuing student looking to deepen the basics of their yoga practice. The focus in Level I is on alignment and breath work through postures that stretch and strengthen the body, relax the mind, and restore balance and well-being.
Ojas Balanced Yogi: Level 2
Ojas Level 2 is for students with yoga experience and proficient in the postures of the Level 1 classes. The emphasis in Level 2 is linking breath with movement through more advanced standing, seated and balancing postures as well as basic inversions. Level 2 classes will provide a combination of dynamic movement and static stretches that will stretch and strengthen the whole body while restoring balance and reducing stress.
Ojas Dynamic Yogi: Level 3
Ojas Level 3 is for experienced students who are ready to deepen their yoga practice and are proficient in the postures of the Level 2 classes. Through enhanced breathing techniques as well as advanced postures including full inversions, arm balances and flows, students will develop a stronger foundation and understanding of yogic principles and philosophy. Students can expect to sweat and move in this exciting and challenging Ojas experience.
Featuring special poses to stretch the body, reduce tension, and decrease discomfort, prenatal yoga is perfect for all stages of pregnancy. Doctor’s permission is required to participate. Class packages may be customized based on a student’s due date.
Consisting of reclining and supported postures, restorative yoga helps passively release muscle tension and reduce the effects of physical, mental, and emotional stress on the body. Students cultivate deep states of relaxation, inner awareness, and peace. This class is for all skill levels.
