Community Involvement

Thank you to all who participated in our 2012 Holiday Food Drive!

Clean Currents

With your help we were able to deliver three large bins and many more overflowing shopping bags full of food items to Paul's Place. Our community ambassador Anjelica shared, "When I dropped off the food, it was my first time there. The building is huge! They offer so many things to the community. I ran into a few folks going in with children. One woman was walking out with tears in her eyes and a box in her hands thanking them so much for the food."

Paul's Place provides programs, services, and support that strengthen individuals and families, fostering hope, personal dignity and growth. Learn more about Paul's Place

Ojas and the Red Devils work to improve the lives of Breast Cancer Patients.

The Red Devils

Since May of 2010, Ojas has been proud to partner with the Red Devils in helping breast cancer patients feel better while fighting their disease. Patients referred to Ojas are eligible to receive custom wellness massages, yoga instruction, and acupuncture treatments without cost.

The Red Devils funds these services to improve the quality of life to breast cancer patients and their families. Patients are eligible for services if they live and seek treatment in Maryland and are referred by participating hospitals and breast centers. Recipients of services are identified by social workers and support staff at these facilities—who, according to the Red Devils, work closely with patients and are often in the best position to determine who will benefit.

You helped us raise over $900 for Gulf Oil Spill Relief in June and July!

It's hard to believe that in only two months we were able accomplish this amazing feat! A huge thank you to all at Ojas who helped us raise this tremendous sum for National Resource Defense Council (NRDC). We are so proud to continue our mission to help the community with your support!

About the fund:

NRDC is the nation's most effective environmental action organization. They use law, science and activist support to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places and to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all living things.

NRDC has established a Gulf Coast Recovery Fund. Every dollar given to the fund will go directly -- via emergency grants -- to Gulf Coast non-profit groups that are helping people, wildlife and fragile ecosystems to recover from this unprecedented disaster.
